Thoughts on the savage attacks my friend Congressman Steve King is undergoing

This is what liberals do. They make it impossible to discuss issues by characterizing any critic of amnesty or in-state tuition or any other such thing as "hateful."

Once you can get a couple of Republicans to repeat the line, the narrative starts to stick with the media and they start repeating it. At that point it becomes impossible for our side to debate the issue. And then people of good conscience who share our view shut their mouths because they don't want to be branded as a xenophobe.

It's just like Shelby Steele said in the WSJ (online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142412788732444810457....html):

"Poetic truths succeed by casting themselves as perfectly obvious: 'America is a racist nation'; 'the immigration debate is driven by racism';
'Zimmerman racially stereotyped Trayvon.' And we say, 'Yes, of course,' lest we seem to be racist. Poetic truths work by moral intimidation, not reason."
